Vista RAM Usage, Vista uses A LOT

I got Vista Ultimate 64 bit.
And right after bootup, only necessary and essential programs on. My Physical memory usage is on a stable 700mib.
Does Vista really need this much?
I have tried to turn off some services and programs I don't need. And its still pretty high.
I only got 1gb RAM atm, I am buying more very soon, but still, is there ANY way to have a less Memory usage? Any tips? Programs, settings, anything.
What I've tried so far.

*Visual Settings on Advanced System Settings, everything is turned off except for maybe 2-3 for the Vista look.
*Virtual Memory. I have put in Double my Physical Memory.(I need help with this one. What's recommend and what's best settings?)
*msconfig. Startup programs, all off except for the ones I need. And Services I have turned off about 15-20. On what to turn off I found on a Youtube video.

Before I did this it was prob on 800 or 750. Its still 700mb usage, and if I have maybe a few firefox browsers up and folders, it easily gets to 800.

Tips and tricks help please!

Let's find out more about what is actually running on your system. Please download, install, and run Process Explorer (which is much superior to Task Manager for this type of analysis) at: Process Explorer. Make sure all the process folders are explanded. Then click on File / Save As... and change the location to your desktop but save it as a text file and name it "cornholio77 processes" and attach it to your next reply.

Then download, install and run Autoruns: Autoruns for Windows and click on the Everything Tab and then go to File / Save and save it as the default file type and name it "conholio77 autorun" and also attach it to your next reply.

I'll take a look at those results and see if I can find anything else that can be safely removed. I will also do more research on the memory usage of a Ultimate x64 system (I have a 32-bit system so I'm not sure about the requirements of x64) and see if that is to be expected or is out of whack.

i hope this helps us determine if this is or isn't normal and perhaps some additional ways to decrease usage. I have some ideas, but I'd rather see what is happening before making any recommendations.

Thanks and good luck!

Lets start with step one, download and give us a screen shot of process explorer.

Run your anti virus and take a full scan

Download and scan with malwarebytes. Make sure that you update first and take the long scan.

My computer is recently formatted just yesterday. That any virus would be on it is just ridiculous.
