How to prevent User Profile Service failed the logon

About once every 6 months, I have to fix my mother-in-law's computer. It is always the User Profile Service failed the logon problem. The solutions in this forum have been helpful in solving them.

What I would like to know is how to prevent getting this error in the first place.

I appreciate the response Rick.

However, I already know how to fix the problem. I am looking for a way to prevent the problem from happening in the first place.

Last year, it was presumed that the logon failure was due to a mistaken backup. Is there a preventative fix? Perhaps it is something else that can be remedied?
