How do you restart a process?

I have a big question I can't seem to get answered anywere else. I accidentally killed process SPI (Creative X-FI Module) And the sound dosen't work right since then. I uninstalled, reinstalled drivers but nothing works. So my question is this:

Once you killed a process, under Task Manager, how do you restart that process fully again?

A response would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Kill process does nothing in Vista

To restart a Process you need to find the Application that runs that Process

Hope This Helps,

Hello Art,

You can also restart the computer to restart this if it runs at startup.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Okay, the process SPI (creative Sound Module) does show up under the Task Manager's Kill Processes, when I start up the pc, but the sound is still absent. I identified the application. It's Creative Console Launcher. What do I do next to run the process fully again?
