Hello. I have windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit installed on my pc. I need the 32 bit version for my computer to be able to install some drivers, which i need to run programs. I have a DVD for the 64 bit install, which i bought at a retail store. I've been searching and I've found out, that i can use the key I have, but I need the 32 bit iso file for installing. I am aware, that i need to do a clean install. Where can i get the iso ? Please help.

i need BIOS and VGA drivers to play some games. I get a black screen after about 15 mins of playing and need to manually restart my computer. I'm using an MSI notebook, with ATI radeon HD 4670 and A1651IMS.112 17.09.2009 bios. The game I wish to run is FIFA 11 and oddly, the game runs fine with the AC adapter not connected. On battery power everything is fine, but the battery lasts only for about an hour and recharging takes a while.

Well thoses should be easy... BIOS is OS independant, and the 4670 should be on the ati site.

The battery thing sounds like a hardware issue.

ATI 4670 mobile
ATI Catalyst

The BIOS is dependant on our model.

Have you checked your temperatures when youre gaming? Use hwmonitor from www.cpuid.org

How can i update BIOS ? From the computer's manufacturer's site ? There, they only offer a 32bit update. what should i do ? I noticed that when the adapter is plugged in, the voltage goes up by about 0.5 volts. Maybe that's what causing my problems ? With just the battery the voltage is stable - 12.0 volts. How could i fix this ? Overheating is not the issue, the heat never reaches 100C

The BIOS doesn't care as it loads the windows, linux, solaris etc.. It basically starts the computer, and tells the windows where and what parts are in the box.

Whats your model, i'll take a peek.

Well, okay.. You've decided to go 32bit... but i'm still noit sure why its mattering its 64bit...

Good luck, i think youre losing out going down to 32bit.

When you go to install the 32bit and run into any questions, just come ask.

Edit...... OKAY its just the bios program thats 32bit.... I'll look into how to in 64bit.

Well research says the stupid utlities are x86 only, but the community has made a utility that goes on a usb stick.

http://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=118346.0 is a post talking about x64 bios updates. You'll have to create an account though.

I'd look into that instead of switching OS... its alot less work.
