C and E drives

I have a laptop with 120gig hard drive divided between C and E drives of 60gig each.
My problem is that everything (programs and data) goes on the C drive and now it is full, and it will not take any more whilst the E drive is virtually empty.
Can anyone tell me how to put my photos and music from the C to the E or, even, save automatically to the E drive?
I have tried reducing the size of the E partition and then increasing the size of the C partition but Vista will not let increase the size of the C partition.
Can I delete the E drive and use the resultant space to increase my C drive?
Someone please help this helpless silver surfer.

Hi & welcome :)
you can simply right click on E to create new folder-rename it old photos, and drag all your photos from C to the folder you just created . you can do the same for video folder as well.
for auto. action you have to change the path of the folder to it's new location on E
Brink wrote a tutorial how to change disc space:

Good luck!

Before you do any " transferring " of photos and such, PLEASE check What is your E drive.
What I am trying to get at is : which one is your Recovery drive.
In my computer ( laptop ), I have C: ( system drive ), D: ( local disk ) which is a recovery partition, and E: which is my DVD RW drive.
Recovery drive is NOT to be tinkered with. It is to be left alone. Although 60GB is too large for Recovery drive. But please make sure, just in case.

As to your C: being full, have you ever done any disk cleanup ?
Vista has a disk cleanup program. It consists of a part ( step #11 onwards ) which will remove all your restore points except your most recent one. THAT will give you back a whole lot of disk space.
Here is the tutorial, also from this forum.
Disk cleanup and More Options ( please scroll past all the chitchats. Tutorial is at the end )
