The same login script is running OK on XP, but not vista.
This problem is particularly for printer in the network.

Could anyone give me any suggestions? Thanks a lot.

Hi dbaman,

Welcome to Vista Forums!

Think about your post. If it was sent to you, could you do anything to help given the information provided? Neither can we. We need to know MUCH more before we can even consider the situation.

Please post or attach the script. What was used (what language) to create the script? How is the script initiated? Where is it failing specifically? Why is a script required as opposed to simple network connection and file sharing setups? Are all other parts of the script working except for the part concerning this printer? Has it ever worked with Vista or are you trying for the first time? What is the manufacturer, make and model of the printer? How is the priinter connected to the network? How is the Vista computer connected to the network? Can you use the printer if you login manually from Vista and, if so, how does what you do manually differ (if it does differ) from what the script does? What version of Vista are you using?

Thanks!

As Lorien has said, we need much more detail. I cannot even begin to guess at the issue. However, would it be that the printers simply don't appear. The Add Printer Methods for Vista have changed, and become better. BUT CHANGED FROM XP. I cannot quite remember what to what, I need to look it up, but the add printer methods have changed.
