Please help me

hello...this is my last chance...first of all my knowhow is limited and if someone can help me please treat me like a 1o year old!! ok i have a acer 7520. vista home premiunm...the problem is my laptop has no "free space" i go to the start button and go to computer and it tells me i have nearly zero mb left of 32.5 gb on the acer c drive. the data d drive has 24.1gb left of 32.2 gb.. can i use the free space on the d drive??? if so how do i switch to use the d drive? alternately how do i free up space on the c drive...i dont download anything i only have about 1000 pics on the hardrive that is it. i dont understand how any of the technical side of it all works. im not bothered if i have to format? the laptop or wipe it clean im just so pissed off with it i will do what it takes. im sure one of you guys could help me......thankyou for reading...lee
