Solved physical memory usage too high and other questions

Hi I have vista 64bit home premium and I think my computer is using way too much
of physical memory. (I'm gonna attach a screenshot)
I saw some videos aobut comparing vista and win 7 and both had similar performance. I regretting that I didn't upgraded to win 7 when I had a chance tho..
but by seeing that visata can run pretty similar to win 7 I'm relieved a little but..
in the video that I saw.. he had about 27% of physical memory running on vista and mine is running 70% right now.. I was like "Oh, wow.."
So... how can I make my computer use less physical memory to about down to 20% ~30%?
If I bring down my computers physical memory percentage down will it help on gaming and other operations get better?

and some other questions:
1. I still want to upgrade my computer, if I can, to win 7, so do I need to get win 7 64bit version because I have 64bit OS right now?

2. Say if I buy win 7 and make a back up CD for win 7, can I use it on other computers? or no?

I would appreciate anyone's help
Thanks.

Turned off system restore, aero, indexing, and sidebar completely
BUt,I WOULD NOT TURN OFF SYSTEM RESTORE IF I WERE YOU
You can go with 32 bit, but must do a clean install with format. You can get a Windows 7 upgrade DVD to to do this, It is cheaper than full retail
One key only one computer at a time.

Ihave turned off system restore before(but running right now) and turned off side bar when I got this computer because I thought it was useless to me. Screenshot that I took is when I turned off system restore, sidebar.. and was just running few explorer, btu computer was using 70% of physical memory.

I don't know what is aero and indexing ..so can you tell me what they are and how to turn them off?

Before I give you Aero information, I just like to reitierate, turn System Restore back on. It is not worth the potential problems
That being said I wish you the best with whatever you decide

Here is the aero information

Thank you for this info. I turned on system restore and I already did turned off aero even before I posted this thread. I didn't even knew that I turned it off :D
Do I need to restart after this to take effect? because my computer's physical memory is still running over 70%.. hmmmm.... Do you think virues are affected on my computer?..( note that I can not run malwarebytes because of comaptibility issue with some other softeware)

Oh and If I want to install win 7 64bit, do I need to format my computer?
and where can I buy those DVDs? Is it legal and retail?

Run malwarebytes with a clean boot
Yes you should boot
If you are running 32 bit and you want 64 you must format
If you are going to 64 from 64 you should do a clean install which includes format

You can buy the DVDs almost anyhere.
One big chain near you is Staples. Assuming you are in the USA

Buy the upgrade and yes its legal. I am talking about legal keys and DVD. We do not discuss anything else at this forum.

I rebooted my computer.
when I looked at the resource monitor on physical memory its about 40% now
well it got better with just changing index :D
So what's things can make physical memory to go up..?

How much cheaper are the win 7 DVDs?
So um clean installation is like I need to format my vista (that means clean hard disk?) and just insert win 7 DVD?

thanks again for the help as always.

If you get the upgrade DVD it is about 125 USA Dollars
Here is an ad from Amazon for Home Premium upgrade. The best for most people.
Amazon.com: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade: windows_7: Software
You can do a clean upgrade install like this
Clean Install with a Upgrade Windows 7 Version - Windows 7 Forums[2]=General Tips

For upgrade install, you insert the DVD, it will ask if you want clean you select yes and then advanced and then you can format.
