PC Won't Start

I've been having problems with my notebook for a long time. it didn't have any content inside and wouldn't boot from a CD so that I could install an OS.

So I decided to connect my notebook hard drive to my desktop, and from there install Vista. So I started installing Vista to my notebook hard drive from my desktop, and then left it over there doing the job.

When I returned, the computer was in an unusual screen, a System Recovery Options Screen. I ignored it and tried to restart the computer. It would go to the same screen again, the computed wouldn't boot. I started to get nervous, and disconnected the notebook hd from my desktop and then tried to start the computer.. nothing. I don't know what else I can say about my problem, except that on the beginning of startup screen it says Booting from GRLDR.

I am very annoyed, I had two computers and one wasn't working, in my attempt to fix the computer that didn't worked, I ended up having no workable computer at all. Can anyone try to help me?

Edit: Oh, and I tried to Restore to a point before, but it didn't work either.

Thank you for your reply, you have solved my desktop's issue!

I entered the bulletin you've sent and then tried /RebuildBcd and /FixMbr, none worked. Then I tried the /FixBoot and my computer finally started.

I've already clicked on your add to reputation, once again, thanks!

PS: I don't know if the desktop did have a Linux before. I bought it from Gateway, unless they used Linux as a base to install Vista, then it didn't have any Linux.
