Solved Transparent Icons.

I somehow managed to get rid of all my files. I hyave since gone to:-

Control Panel>Folder Options> View> Show hidden folder> and they come back with all the information contained inside but they are transparent. I want my folders back , especially as I am on chapter ten on a book I am writing.

Any help will be appreciated. I am sure I could sort it eventually, but it's one of those days that I just can't think straight.

Which files are you referring to?

You may have set them to be hidden (faded) by mistake. The tutorial below can help show you how to set them to be unhidden again if this is what happened.

When you say "all your files", do you mean everything on the desktop only or every single data file in your entire user profile or wherever located on your system (including documents, pictures, audio, video, downloads, favorites, contacts and so on) or every file including system files and everything?

When you say "transparent", do you mean how they look when they are coded as hidden or do you mean something different involving how the video is working? Does this only apply to your data files or to system files as well? Do system files look OK (not transparent)? Does this apply to folders as well as files?

I'm trying to understand what has actually occurred and the scope of it so we can come up with the right approach.

Then again, Brink may have identified and solved the problem with that tutorial - and I sincerely hope that's the case. If so, you're all set. If not, please answer these questions and we'll go from there.
