i noticed on a few sites they suport secure socket layers (SSL) just wondering why more sites dont offer this to help our privacy, and give us a sense of security, just wondering,

SSL is only offered on sites where significant security is required ie. your bank's website, brokerage website, paypal other sites that require credit card information. Why dont more sites have it; one big reason money. It costs to have SSL.

When the user (you) have to input sensitive information, such as bank account numbers or credit card numbers SSL is welcome. For sites such as this forum there is no reason for such security. What secure information do we have to give the Forum, not much as far as I remember.

Edit: Your second post. The website provides the SSL, it is not from the OS.

Congratulations, you finally got me; a question that I cant answer.
The more that you spend for the computer the better it will be.
I do not know enough about you, your age, needs, finances to give you a suggestion.
If you tell me a bit more about your budget, computer needs etc. I will try to help.

There is not much that you can get in that price range, but allow me to present this idea.
Ue the pc-scout, to find computers that you like and meet your needs. Then if you post the information, and maybe a link describing it, I and other members (I am sure) will be glad to share their thoughts with you.
Windows PC Scout: Find the Best Laptop or Desktop for Your Needs

If you find a few that you like, even better, the membership could argue about which is best.
If we become adamant enough, we may all be suspended. LOL, I cant even say the dreaded B word.
