Hi Jasond19
I'm sure many others wi;; contribute to this thread.

But from my part, having recently got a win 7 64bit computer I am finding advantages already.

But I would think a visit to the sister site would give you more insight than I can.

There you will guage the full advantages.

I have not regretted the step th 7.

I was a real Vista fan. But now I have only 1 Vista left (and 5 Windows7). Windows7 is easier to operate and it is very stable. In terms of function there is not a big difference (if you discard the eye candy things).

There are even a few things I was missing at first (e.g. the automatic dock on top and the sidebar). But then I got Rocket Dock and tweaked the Vista sidebar in. And the Quick Launch I replaced with a taskbar which turned out to be a lot better and more flexible (allows subfolders). So at the end I became a Windows7 fan.

If you do a lot of video work, you would also appreciate the much better list of Codecs supported by Win7.
