I moved my jpg pictures from fat32 secondary drive to flash drive then moved them to new Vista nfts drive and cannot open them. I used HP picture software with ACDSee program for old drive and Vista computer only has Windows photo gallery. Error message says "can't open file - unknown format or file may be corrupt" HELP !!!!

I just tried to repair one of the files and it says it can't because the header is corrupt? Any help out there?

I was not able to fix the possible header corruption in my files with the CompuPic Pro program. Any other suggestions? It looked like that program was only for opening, editing, etc.... I actually need to repair the files themselves first before I can try to open with a photo program.

Hi,

I am sorry that failed to recover your file viewing problem.

If that corrupt version is the only copy of the picture you have, then I am afraid to say, all is lost.

Do you have the original version of the picture?

The original version of the pictures were on my old "D" drive and it's here but I cannot access it because not only is it not hooked up to my CPU I tried to format it (received error message on that too) after copying the pictures over to the flash drive. And to top it off my son erased the pics off the flash drive before I could make sure they opened on the Vista CPU.
