Can't open my photos.

I keep getting this window that says "View and track your downloads". I have 2 choices to pick from - either open or save. If I try to open, a window opens very quickly (split second) that says, "Running security scan" and then nothing happens. 1)This photo comes from my digital camera and I am on Vista.
2)These 3 Security Items are installed on my computer - PerfectDisk 10, Revo Uninstaller, and Trend Micro Titanium.
Any suggestions?

1. Please check the file formats of your photos.
File format is represented by the last 3 letters of the file ; such as png, jpg, bmp etc.

Picture file formats supported by Windows :
Picture files: .bmp, .dib, .emf, .gif, .jfif, .jpe, .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .tif, .tiff, and .wmf.

If you camera photos do not have the supported file formats, Windows will not know how to open them.
In that case, you'll need/google for an image converter.

2. RE : Security Items
For your information .......
PerfectDisk 10 - to my limited knowledge, it is a disk defrag program. Not a Security program.
Revo Uninstaller is for uninstalling programs when "traditional way" to uninstall fails. Not a Security program.
Trend is a security program.

If you right click a photo and click open with then select windows photo gallery does it open then?

I can open with windows photo gallery and with the other choices....with the exception - Internet Explorer. Keep getting that window to open or save....tries for a quick second but nothing happens. I guess solution to my problem is use other options and forget opening it up with Internet Explorer!
