little problem extending partitions

im cloning a 160GB HDD with a HP recovery partition (to keep the partition)

but the new drive is 640GB; the clone process is creating duplicate of partition sizes, leaving an empty partition to the right

so...

system partition
HP partition
empty partition
i know I can send data to the 3rd partition but as the 3rd partion is twice removed from system partition is there a way to incorporate this space into c drive using extend tools?

You can add the unallocated space to the system partition with Disk Management. Just right click on the system partition and "Extend"

However, I would highly recommend to create a seperate partition of this unallocated space for your user data. The big advantage of that setup is that you do not loose your data when your system goes south and you have to e.g. reinstall. Here is how you move your folders: Windows Vista Tip #4: Move your data folders to a separate drive | Ed Bott
