Cant do system restore

I have just tried to do a system restore...a messag came up saying:-
os(c(system)

Insufficient storage available to create the shadow copy data (0x 80042231f)

I also have a missage on the bottom of the screen saying low disc space disk E....I did a re format (i think thats what you call it) in April and that message has been there ever since.
I have run full virus scans and nothing has shown up.
I am not technically minded and have no idea what to do next.
Please help.

Seems like this should be easy to fix
First go to your desktop and look for the computer icon
Left click and send us a screen shot of what you see.
You should see your drives and how much space on each.
Make sure that you have enough space to make restore points

No computer icon on my desktop.....sorry but i am really a novice at stuff like this.

Recovery E 8.42MB free of 14.6GB

That is what it says when i left click the computer icon.

Follow this tutorial to be sure that you have ample space set aside for system restore. 10% for System resotore would be nice.

Using the above tutorial see how much space you have and then change it to at least 10%, if you feel that you have enough room on your hard drive.
