Solved My Screen freezes and won't move

I don't know if it's my computer or Yahoo. Everytime I go into Yahoo or a site from Yahoo, my screen freezes up. When I am in email I can't open mail without a long wait, I can't move mail to a folder or it freezes the screen and if I click on a site, nothing happens. My mouse moves but I have to turn the computer off and reboot to get the screen to move. I feel like I have dial up again. I'm suppose to have a high speed internet service. I spend hours trying to get through my email because I have to constantly reboot or wait for 2 or 3 minutes for it to open.:cry::confused:. If I go to a site through my favorites, I don't seem to have a problem. Not yet anyway!! I'm not a computer brain, so I don't know much about the innerds of this thing.

Hi Richard, I found a repy you gave to someone else a couple hours ago about rebooting so I went through those steps and for right now it seems to be working better. I'm not going to close this out quite yet, till I try it again tomorrow to see what happens. You also had a download there for Uniblue Optimizer...I think that was it...when I downloaded it, it came up with 100's of errors but wouldn't fix them unless I purchased the program. I alread use PC Optimizer Pro ver: 6.1.6.6. I run this almost everyday but rarely get that many errors. I just ran it again and only had 3 errors. Can you tell me the difference in those two programs? Why one says I have so many errors and mine says I don't. The first time I ran mine, I did have a few 100, but haven't had that many since. You had a list of things for this other person to do but I only clicked on the top one. I see that you are online now, how does one talk to you while you are online...or is that not possible in here?

I never suggested that anyone use Uniblue, if you found such a suggestion would you please lead me to it.
The reason that some show so many more errors is because they are scams. They want to scare you into buying the product
If you are interested, after your problem is resolved, just remind me and I will give you detail information on how to properly maintain your computer and Vista.
Just as a starter; dont use those optimizers or registry cleaners or maintenance.

It is possible to talk to an individual mamber privately, but if it concerns computers the rules stipulate that it be done in the Forum. This way many can read and benefit.

Hi Richard: I think I must be losing it...I clicked on the recent "Mouse and Keyboard Freeze" you sent earlier and it took me to someone else's post that you answered earlier. I then clicked on the first link on how to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Vista. I thought sure when I read this persons reply it said he solved his problem, but now when I reread it, it didn't. I have a hard time finding my way around this site. But, I know whoever it was, it solved the problem...that's why I decided to try it. And, it does seem to be helping. As for the Uniblue thing...I thought I clicked on one of those links you sent the other person and got that...but, I'm not sure now. I started using this PC Optimizer Pro program when my IP stopped providing their repair service. I think it was called Live One Care...or something like that. I have Qwest and they sold out to someone else...haven't heard a word from the new company about any computer support at all. I didn't evn know they sold out until I couldn't get my computer to update or do repairs anymore. It must be about 7:35 there...it's about 4:35am here and I'm about to head to bed for the night. I hope this fix keeps working. I've never had so many problems with this thing before. But, when I still had the support from Qwest, it did all that stuff for me automatically.

Hi Richard, I haven't been here to answer or marked solved because my computer's hard drive crashed and I had to buy a new computer. Couldn't get the discs I needed to restore it from the manufacturer for a decent price. Was cheaper to buy anew computer. I'm still getting it setup with programs I lost from the old one. I don't have Vista anymore. I now have Windows 7 so I will mark this solved. Thanks so much for your input.

A dying hard drive can be a cause of OS problems including freezing. It's unfortunate that it happened to you.
