Hi,
This is a bit drawn out as I am new to all this so please bear with me.

I have a old Acer laptop that I am trying to do up for my sister to use. I have wiped windows Vista off as was trying to put windows 7 on it.
Now I installed windows 7 on it last night it worked great I logged off and closed it down now today I cant get passed: System Recovery Options: Operating system: Microsoft windows vista on (C:) ACER

Now I am thinking now i never wiped it all!!! And silly of me but i have looked everywhere now and thinking maybe someone on here maybe able to help with a Command Prompt or something would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Kat

On the computer there probably were two partitions. One for Vista (C:) and one for the Vista recovery (D:). when you installed win 7 you removed the C:, but did not touvh the D:

What are you trying to do run win 7 or vista?

Did you buy the Win 7 installation disc? If so, you could try booting from it and doing the repair option. In fact, the repair option might be available if you hit F12 (I think that's the Win 7 boot options).
