ACER eRecovery Management

Hi everyone. A special hi to those who keep trying to solve problems! :)
I've got an Acer Aspire 5720z. I've been using it for approximately 3 years. I made a backup using Acer Erecovery. All was going well. But I needed to upgrade my Hard Disk Drive from 80GB to 300GB. I had to transfer all my info to the new HDD. I transferred partly; I made a last backup of C: of my old HDD, then I transferred my Backup File (erData) to the new HDD on which Acer Factory Default Disk was installed. I also restored to factory default on the old HDD while pressing the Alt + F10 on startup. This method of recovery happened only once. Now when I do same function on old HDD, the following appear:
EDIT BOOT OPTIONS

Edit Windows boot options for:Microsoft Windows Vista

Partition:2
Hard Disk: _________ (example:2ad434db)

[ /NOEXECUTE=OPTIN

Also when I try to restore the backup (erData file) using acer Erecovery, my laptop just restarts itself without any progress. Neither the restoration of backup nor the restoration to factory default works. The laptop restarts itself without any error message. Only restoration by factory default disks works. I restored with factory default disks to try to repair the problem with Acer eRecovery, the problem is unsolved till now. Any idea what can be done to solve this?
Waiting 4 a response asap. Thx buddies.

Hello, was looking in past postings and saw yours was not answered. Let me see if i understand this : The new hard drive works fine, but, it is the old hard drive giving you issues ? If that is what i am reading here , then would a wipe of the hard drive and reformat do the trick, it seems to be confused as to what to boot to.

Thank You for the help.. but I already solved the problem. I had to make my hidden PQservice partition to be accessible, and make this partition as active. Only then the MBR was reset. and my Acer Alt + F10 key became functional. :)
