Hi guys,

A friend of mine is having a bit of trouble with her laptop a Fujitsu Siemens Amilio. Apperently her daughter shut the laptop down, by using the power button. Now it will not boot. The lights come on the, screen remains black (no backlight, splash screen ect.). It actually does nothing as if its off or hibernating, in sleep mode, but I cannot wake it. cannot go into safe mode, BIOS or anything. I put the recovery disc in hdd light flickers the disk get read then nothing.

Hope you maybe able to help

It could be the PSU or the Motherboard gone. Is it still under warranty.

Oh that is a shame, could you take it to a local computer repair shop and ask them to look at it.

Do you think removing the BIOS battery would do any good.
