Problem with Burn files into Discs

Hi everyone

I have 700mb mp3 files when i try to burn into disc
it gives me error and not enough memory

i tried with Windows Media Player and Nero

In Nero i saw the capacity of the files were more than 24000mb:confused:

In real it is 700mb

what is the real problem?

Can anyone help me in this

Hi,

Make sure you are creating an MP3 disk in Nero.

Also activate "over burn", this will enable a further 3MB or so of disk space on the CD disks which you would not normally have access to.

OK,

Then the 24000mb looks correct, 21 to 24 songs per CD is normal in CD format = 700mb.

That is the amount on a purchased disk anyway.

The software changes the file format when the disk is created. Music CD format & is a lot bigger!

Thats why the file format mp3 was such a hit when it came out.

5. How much music you can put on a disk depends on whether or not the the music files are compressed, and the selection of a disk media that is compatible with your hardware/software. For example, you might be able to find commercial music CDs with around 20 songs (70-80 minutes of play) recorded as digital Audio CD data with associated .cda indexing files. With the proper harware and software, you can burn about the same amount of music in a lossless computer audio format. If you burn a compressed audio format file (i.e. MP3 at 192 Bit Rate which is high quality but not as good as lossless, where average song size is 5 MB) with a standard CD-R (700 MB), you can burn up to 140 songs. Burning the same MP3 files to DVD+-R DL disk media, you can theoretically record up to 1580 songs on a single disk.

so there is no way to burn into one or two cds:( 700mb files?

The answer is yes!

That is if you create a mp3 format DVD for you computer. If the disk is for your car, your car will probably only play Cd's in mp3 format not DVDs.

i want to play it in my car

i have the mp3 format of the files as well as audio cd format

i played the audio cd for quite some time so i wanna have a backup audio cd

hmm any way so i can take copy?

Hi,

Yes, you can copy your original disks or create mp3 files and put them on a few mp3 format CD's & have back up's to play in your car.

You could get approximately 7 normal cd's on one mp3 cd.

I don't know which version of Nero you have but you can use the CD Copy in Burning Rom or Copy Disc in Nero Express to copy your audio cd. If you have any problems, you can post them in the Nero forum.

Go to nero.com and select Community. Log in. Then select User Forum. You can make the User Forum one of your Favorites, if you don't want to subsequently want to go through the Community. Post a new thread in the Data\burning subforum. I'll be glad to help you there.
