What is the source of the files? What is their format?

What I wanted to know is where did you get the files? If they are commercial files, such as from a CD you bought, then they are probably copyright protected and you can't burn them. The same applies to some files you download from the internet. Depending on the website policy, you may or may not be able to burn copyrighted files.

What is the extension on the file name? mp3, etc.

.wma is the audio format. If you go into the Library options and select More Options\Devices, is your drive shown?

I assume you're using WMP 11 (as far as I know, you can't even install WMP 12 in Vista).

If you select a sample audio file that comes with Windows or another program, does the burn feature activate?

You did delete the .pdf? I just downloaded the same file in my previous post, removed the .pdf and dragged and dropped it into WMP. It worked.

The only version 11 for WMP I can find is the XP version. However, it is also for N and KN versions of Vista- I don't know how to find that.

You could also try the pictures just to see if it makes a difference.

Browse to the file. Right click on it and select Rename. Delete the .pdf extension and hit Enter. Done.

I had to use that extension because it's the only one the forum will allow for a file of that size.
