Wrong folders Compressed

When I do the command "Send to - Compressed (zipped folder) to compress a Word, PDF or similar type of document, the folder that is compressed is from Windows Photo Gallery.

How can I get the folder I want compressed? It seems the path is corrupted in some way.

What's the exact path? Have you made any change recently? If so try a restore point.

Thank you for responding!

There is no obvious way that I am able see the path.

What I can say is that I did a search of all my zip folders and came up with 45 since 5/30/2007 to date - there are paths for each - and they seem to be the original paths. Every one of the compressed files, however corrupted. When I open all the zip folders they contain 41 random photos taken from 2004 - 2012 in Windows Photo Gallery.

I know that it worked properly until fairly recently. I'm wondering if it could have anything to do with when I synced up my new iPad, which I bought in May. Many of the photos I'm seeing in the compressed files were taken with my iPad 3.

Ran the sfc command three times and system did not find any integrity violations. Did some more investigation and it seems WinZip has been deleted from my computer, which is most likely why I can't associate a correct default program. I browsed on how to get it back, and found there is a lot of conversation in blogs that 7-zip is actually better than WinZip.

Are you familiar with 7-zip, and if so, do you recommend it?

Thank you for your interest in my problems with compressed files.
