Hi,

What I am going to talk about may not be related with windows vista but I think some of you might know something about it.
When I use my music making software I often get access violation message. Therefore, I prefer to re-install the soft but the problem exists.
My Computer is fine. Dirvers/Softwares/Windows all updated. Enough Hard drive and memory.

Here is the story: I use a music making software some time without any problem it shows this (copying only top part)

Error in module "ntdll.dll" (Load address: 0x76fd0000) to address 0x77036a98

Please share your thoughts, what could be the cause?

Thank you

Hi,

Yes, I did and and got no proper satisfactory solution.
I thought, may be in vista forums someone knew something about that.

I appreciate your concern thank you very much.

An access violation occurs when code in the program tries to access memory which is not allocated for it. Do you have Microsoft .net framework 3.5 or 4.0 listed in Control Panel, Programs and Features?

Click on .net framework 4 client profile as if to uninstall it. There will be two options. Select the Repair option and reboot. Does that help with your problem?

I don't know what to do with the .net framework 4 client profile language.

Depending on the software, you may or may not need 3.5, 3.5 SP1. If repairing 4 doesn't help, you could try uninstalling them. You can always download them from Microsoft and reinstall. If you set a system restore point before uninstalling them, you could always just do a system restore.

Hello,

Thank you for reply.

Regarding, "Does that help with your problem?"
Actually when I use the software this access violation message does not appear on regular basis. Therefore, even if I repair Net framework4 how could I know if that repair did work. Ok, I guess, I should give a try then I will use software and see what happens.

I appreciate your help.

Thank you

Correct. Since it doesn't happen all the time, the best you can do is use the software for a while to see if the problem recurs. I'm interested in knowing if it ever comes back.

To wither 3,

I used the music software four or five times so far and I have noticed after repairing Net framework I am not facing any problem.
I thought I should let you know about it.

Thank you
