win. install manager error

    win. install manager error

    While trying to download recently I received an error message to say win. download manager not working.I went into "services" and found it was missing.After searching web I found a patch called "msiserver.reg" I used it to import to registry.on looking at "services" again it was back.However it still goes missing on a regular basis I regedit using the above and back it comes but obviously I would like it to remain pemanently has anyone had similar and solved the problem?

    With a problem like this the best solution is often the easiest. I would try a system restore

    I hope that you kept your System Restore up to date.

    I suggest downloading and running the System Readiness tool.

    I have vista basic 32bit not 64 is there one for 32bit?
