    Re: motherboard setting help

Probably your board doesn't support 1600 mhz natively, and so it defaults to 1333 (666 x 2) <- Thats what it should be in a perfect setting.

You'll need to go into the bios and manually set it.

i will check my manual to see if the board have 1600

the book said that it support 1066 and could be [o.v] at 2000 .
    that is it .
so do you thing that if i go to the bios and change it so i could run at [5-5-5-21.that way better i thing then 9-9-9-25 right .
because why buy stick at 5-5-5-21 if i cant use it at that speed

    Sry, been busy.

Yes, but it been forever since I've used AMD.

Okay, can you link what ram you have? I'm not sure if you can do 1600 with them, as if they are only rated at 1333, going to 1600 will be unstable and crash a lot.

But you shoulds be easily asble to reset the timings, 7-7-7-21 manually.

Thx, yhas thats what i thought they were.

going to 1600 probably won't happen, but you sure should beable to reset the timings.

    Re: motherboard setting help

From those uses, either is just fine, with the X2 being better on power consumption.

Flip side is that the X3 has the possibil.ity to unlock to a quad, aka X4,
