I purchased Vaio /Vista business in 2007
In 2010 I got assistande from Microsoft because I couldn't install updates...at this time above all it was verfied my vista is original of course !!
since two months it looks counterfait...works very slow and microsoft office freezes....is why?
the serial number at the back of my Vaio is the same than if I check (F2) .... because is ORIGINAL.
If I go to System, it says it is not registered ...
after 5 years working well ?????
and Microsoft assistance is closed since July 2011
I guess is a virus, but no way to find out !!!
Who can help me? Please ....

Thank you, I already did, but there are some files protected by password (??) antivirus can't scan .....
Now I am installing new antivirus...let's see if is able to find out ....

For those tricky and hard to find viruses, a personal anti virus i use is called Spybot S&D. Heres a link.

Thank you, I have installe spybot, and after scanning there are a lot troubles, but when I try to repare, it says I don't have authorization !!!

No problem! Now that we have found the source to be a virus, we can continue with removing it.

Are you on an administrator account? have you disabled UAC (only if there is more than one account on the computer)

Did you run the Spybot S&D as administrator?

Its simple, Right click "spybot S&D" on your desktop, and click "Run as administrator"
