error loading operating system

hi guys. when I turn on my sony vaio vgn-n38e it comes up with error loading operating system it does it again when I re start it. can anyone help please

Are you getting the "error loading operating system" or?

How did it happen? Did you try to install something.. Or just rebooted system? Or?

Generally I seen those errors when of the system files are missing or corrupted or if I recall correctly when boot order is not right in the BIOS.

If the files are missing or corrupted, the easiest way to fix that issue woudl be to to run a repair.

What happen if you press the F8" button repeatedly before the Windows Logo appears?
Are you able to get to the "Windows Advanced Options?

If not are you able to get to the BIOS (usually is one of these keys DEL, F12,F10)?

Make sure that no CD/DVD are present.. Disconect any external devices (Printer/USB/MOuse) and check if you able to get

when I start and press the f12 it says media test failure and it says operating system not found
