Java(TM) Platform SE binary has stopped working

Hi
I am currently studying for my BA on-line and need blackboard collaborate to work. I have been to blackboards website and I can not seem to find an answer there, so here I am. I can not access or watch any recordings or join any classes on this as the message
[h=1]Java(TM) Platform SE binary has stopped working[/h]pops up then the next pop up box says that windows has closed the program. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the blackboard launcher and Java and I still can not get access. Tried googling nothing that makes sense to me. I have contacted the uni's IT team and they don't know anything. Running out of options. Hopefully someone here might be able to help

Cheers

Sorry to take so much time to reply.

Did you look at his response on August 7 on page 3?
