Indexing is not working.

I have Vista 64. I have done everything right as far as turning on the indexing. When I do an advanced search it states that it will be slow because the indexing is not on. I click to turn it on. It does not go on. The fix feature from Windows states that it cannot fix the problem.

I am not sure when it stopped working. My search feature is broken. So, why?

Windows will throw that nag if indexing isn't enabled but it will still be able to find your files. That said if you still want to get rid of that error from the start menu type in services.msc. Scroll down to windows search and make sure that it is running.
