System Keeps Going into Sleep Mode

Over the past fortnight at random intervals, after a complete shutdown. When rebooted the system starts up then goes into hibernation. At first I didn't see it go into sleep mode and went and bought a GPU. Did a system restore and it worked. Then it happened again this time I managed to fix it by removing the RAM for a while. This time around no go. I have gone out and bought a new motherboard, Installed the OS onto that, the system booted up, but I was unable to get anything to work. No Internet, (I got a message when I tried to install the internet drivers (Realtek Network Controller Deep Sleep Mode Plug In Cable). I have checked and double checked the sleep mode it is set to never. Also nothing would install.

This isn't my PC it is my friends.

Only one problem the OS will not boot up to allow me in to do it, will not even boot into safe mode

Well if you replaced hardware then either there is an incompatibility or the OS is corrupt. Since you replaced the motherboard I recommend an OS reinstall.

Not the motherboard, just about everything except that, it was a new HD, prior to that a new GPU, after the GPU and HD a new CMOS battery .......... followed by you guessed it an OS reinstall.

Now all I have to do is get the OS to find the GPU again *sigh*

Heck no, the only other PC available is mine and it is working just fine, well except for my GPU which doesn't like the latest GEForce Experience, Nvidia say to RMA it, but I have found a work around, install latest graphics drivers and install v1.7 of Experience

Oh and after many hours of fiddle farting around, I finally managed to get his PC to recognize the GPU. So it is working fine now.
