Dell v725w "paper jam" message

Hello. I have a Dell v725w printer connected to my Vista computer. Until a few months ago, it was working properly. Everytime I start turning on my printer, I keep getting this message "Paper Jam. Press the ADF button and then lift the ADF door. Gently grasp the paper, and gently pull it out Close the the ADF until it until it clicks into place." However, there is no paper jam in my printer and I can actually print out paper. Why do I keep getting this message? Thanks.

I wonder if there is a small piece of paper under the roller.

If you go to Start, Settings, Printers, what is the status shown?

Everything I read says you can click on an X somewhere to clear error messages. I don't know if uninstalling/reinstalling the printer would help. Have you tried posting this problem in the Dell forum or sending an e-mail to Dell support? There's only so much I can do.
