Hi, sfc scannow found corrupt files which it couldn't repair which seem to be to do with the windows side bar.
I've no idea on how to resolve this but have tried running in safe mode and done virus scans. This is a fresh reinstall and the errors been there from the get go so there's nothing to restore back to.

I have attached a notepad file of the scan results below.

Thanks

If only it was possible to uninstall Windows Sidebar, I would've done so long ago. Microsoft has long considered it a security risk, and I used a Microsoft Fix-it to thoroughly disable it on my PC. If you reinstalled Vista from an old disc, sounds like the disc might be slightly corrupt. If you haven't already invested a great deal of time updating Vista and reinstalling software, take a look at http://www.vistax64.com/general-discussion/296167-vista-iso-download.html. If you don't intend to use Sidebar, then it might not matter very much; but I would certainly find it annoying if SFC never again told me that no integrity violations were found. Brink posted a tutorial when Vista was young: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/66978-system-files-sfc-command.html

Having corrupt files for sidebar shouldn't interfere with Vista so if you aren't using it and don't have any problems otherwise you shouldn't have to worry about it.

Alright. Thank you both for the replies. Just annoying seeing that it comes back with corrupt files but I'll get over it then haha :P

I didn't reinstall from a disc, was built in factory default option and have already applied all updates etc.
