Quick Launch linking to another HDD

I have my music on a separate hard drive to the rest of windows.

If I drag this drive from within My Computer, to the quick launch tool bar to create a short cut. All works fine. I click it, it loads up my music drive and away I go.

Upon restarting, clicking the same quick launch icon does nothing/ sod all/ zilch.

The HDD is internal and is working flawlessly. It can me accessed from within My Computer just fine. When selecting a music file it'll load WMP and play it's heart out.

It has the same target as before restart - K:\

So how come the short cut doesn't work once restarting?

Quick Launch Linking. Shame I can't spell hey!?

Can't find a way to edit so if a Mod could that would be great.

I had a similar problem before. Try option 3 in this tutorial. It's how I got a few other problems to work.

Have done that still till no joy.

If I right click it and go to 'open', nothing happens. If I open folder location it goes to My Computer. I guess this is correct as it is the location of the hard drive.

Is it just a problem with linking to other hard drives?

I also have a link from the start menu to this hard drive and this works fine. If I then try to make a quick launch out of that shortcut, I again get nothing.

Well, I was kind of shooting in the dark. I'm not really sure how well quick launch does things that aren't really executables.

Can you do it with the primary hard drive?

Yes, after a reboot this drive seems to link fine.
