Re: Window Experience Index Scores

Ok, ik hope you can see this.

Disk performance is optained with :

Asus P5k64WS 1333 mhz board with 3GHZ e6850 duo proc
5 x SAS 300 gb 15k. Vista Ultimate is on partition C: 59 GB

Adaptec 31205 Sas Raid card, 256mb cache, 800 mhz processor
Raid5EE. Block size is 256kb. Available space = 836 GB
memory is 2 gb 1333 mhz DDR3

I must point out that my other computer has only 3 SCSI U320 x36gb
drives in Raid5 with a Perc4e card. This combo gets 5,9 on the score as well.

François

PS sorry but nobody helped me to put the score on the site, so what you see is what you get

Re: Window Experience Index Scores

Ok, I wanted to post my WEI Scores here also, but whether I try to get it trhough Computer->Properties, or Control Panel, I get this error message:

"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Set Association control panel".

Whats up with that?

Re: Window Experience Index Scores

I guess I don't feel so bad that I've got all these 5.9's then.
CPU:5.8
RAM: 5.9
Grap: 5.9
3d : 5.5
disk: 5.7

I'm pretty sure that if I used something better than this stock cooler I could clock above 3.2ghz. Ican now but not for a real system. Now, at 3.2ghz I can leave Premiere to render video for 3 hours and it stays under 57C. If I change the cooler I could probably get 5.9 on CPU too.

As for disk, I'm not using RAID, so there's lots of room for improvement there.

Yeah, that puppy would probably be more accurately described as a semi-portable desktop...

But, boy, it performs...
