Re: How come i cant see it

Thanks for helping guys, really appreciated.

I dont use a monitor at the moment im using via s-video a Phillips 28" Digital Widescreen Television. At the moment my driver for the monitor is pnp generic monitor, ive even tried the standard television driver no help at all.

I could set my refresh rate in xp using the standard or beta nv drivers. I dont know why vista wont allow me to set my refresh rate, its bugging me alittle, it would be nice to have it like it was on XP it feels more responsive and quicker.

About the dx10 update do i just download the latest dx9 and use that to update my dx10.

Ive sorted the DX10 update, i dl the dxwebupdate file and ran it, works perfectly it downloaded 5.8mb of updates, really good, i suppose from now on i will use this every month or so.

I hope someone could help me concerning my refresh rate settings.

S-Video? Are you using the s-video to RGB adapter? If not, s-video cannot display HD resolutions; so your TV will upscale. Also 25Hz is Vista's way of saying 50Hz interlaced, which I believe is normal if you're using s-video. Nvidia vista drivers have had TV out problems for quite sometime but I thought they had fixed them so I think you are fine.

I've seen a number of problems with this exact scenario. Only a couple have been able to fix or work around it and all of them had primary computer monitors and cloned their TVs as their second monitor. Now, the latest nvidia beta (175.12?) lists a number of TV fixes. You may want to try it out.

I'm not looking it up again to post. Sorry. Try google DX10 though and you'll find it.
I just saw this. I did not merely say "I'm not looking it up again" and I'm sorry Rak.
