| Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit Beta, Vista Ultimate x86 | Re: Vista resolution problem, please help. I recently had this problem when I installed a new 8800GT card. The solution for me, after some research, was to uninstall the Nvidea drivers, run a Nvidea cleaner program I got from 3dguru, reboot, and reinstall with the latest beta driver. This worked for me. The problem I am told is that when you install Nvidea drivers they don't overwrite all the previous driver DLL's. This causes conflicts and the system reverts to the default VGA drivers. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Vista resolution problem, please help. you should always Uninstall the old drivers before installing new drivers.. Or always try to reinstall drivers when having display problems. that usually is a easy fix, then sometimes it's something more. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Vista resolution problem, please help. Well, people. I can only tell you that I had the same problem again and I did exactly the same, unplug the monitor after turning of computer. Plug it back in and....no worries. Working fine. Still seems to be the easiest way. I did all the unistalling and reinstalling drivers business and all sorts of other stuff and it did nothing. |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Vista resolution problem, please help. Hi, I hope somebody could help me with my resolution problem. vista home premium 64bit and navidia GeForce 8500GT Everything was fine up to yesterday evening. Now the highest resolution I can choose is 1024X768. No option to go any higher. I have not changed anything but the automatic update in vista did download new updates at the same time yesterday. Now my screen is streched and fuzzy. Really annoying. Thanx |
