Video problem help

Asus P5K-E MoBo
E8400 3G Duo core processor
4G Memory
Vista x64

PNY Nvidia 8800GT.

Running 169.25 drivers.

Playing Warbirds, I get flashes and sometimes it appears as if there is code on the screen behind the images.

Whenever I upgrade the drivers the problem gets worse.

I remove the drivers, boot into safe mode, use driver cleaner.net to clean the drives out, boot back to normal and do a clean install. reboot one more time and bi the video gets worse.

Going nuts here. Is there a better cleaner out there? Is there something I'm missing?
