ya the 9800GT is about the same thing as an 8800GT. basically. If I was you.. I'd get an eVGA 8800GTS. the GTS is a better model. you can get a b-stock one from there website under b-stock for $130.. that thing would blaze through games.. it's cool looking also. looks like a Army jeep with bolts on it.. the sticker at least.. lol

As long as it's the 512mb GTS, then it's fine. I have an XFX 8800GTS 512 and I love it (waiting to finish upgrading my new PC to get the 2nd one running).

If it's the 320/640mb GTS, then don't bother. They're not worth getting now as the 9600GT, which in some places is cheaper, is better than it.

They seem pretty rare now though GTS 512s. I bought mine in May for £150, and when I came to buy my second one last month, I couldn't find any for the same price. They'd all shot up to around £250, but eventually I found a new one selling on ebay for £150, and managed to get that.
