Dual Monitors

Hey All,

I just got a second monitor, and I want to be able to play a game on one, and watch a movie on the other, both using full screen. They are running off the same GFX card (8800GT) - when I open the game, the movie when running in full screen pans to the side on the second monitor and black, so I see half black screen and half desktop background, but I still hear the movie playing, when the movie is running in windowed mode and I open the game, the video just turns black, but with sound.

So how can I fix this? My PC is pretty good and should run fine, I dont know whether this is a config problem or what..

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Re: Dual Monitors

This should be doable.

Mainly it will depend on the game you are playing and the movie player you are using.

Some games, can basically take over your native display, rendering dual view useless.

I use two monitors off the one Graphics card.

Try to adjust your game video settings to play in "windowed" mode, possibly allowing you to maximise the game screen, while having full control over the second monitor for your movie.

Same goes for your movie player.
