Well, I probably don't need to tell you that for every thousand complaints about this error, there are a thousand different "fixes"... and none of the ones that work for one guy work for anyone else.

However, you can start by trying two things. a) increase pci-e bus from 100MHz to 110Mhz, or b) increase or decrease your graphics card's memory clock by 20Hz. Up or down, either way is fine.

Do you also get this error running at stock speeds?

I take it upping the pci-e bus did nothing and neither did up or downclocking the card?

yea...nothing. im investigating the voltages right now. for some reason the 12v reading is saying 11.52. now that may be sufficient for running most games, but for crysis it might not be enough. i gotta check the volts coming out of the wall

My Computer

Not sure that's going to tell you anything you want to hear? Voltage spikes are very common. It's not uncommon for a 120v line to spike to 200 volts. In fact, it's normal behavior that any PSU is equipped to deal with. Having a UPS with voltage regulation is of course the preferred route, but, if voltage fluctuation from the house were a real problem, your machine would just shut down.
