| Vista Home Premium 32-bit & Vista Ultimate 64-bit both Service Pack 2 W7 Pro RTM 7600 32 & 64 | Re: How to update Hi Lara5 and welcome to Vista Forums ![]() What is the model number of your laptop? This information will help us locate the correct driver for you. With a laptop, the graphics card is usually not upgradeable, so the only way to improve performance is to update the driver (if a newer one is available). You can, however, improve the general performance of your laptop by upgrading the memory to the maximum capacity supported. This can also help here, especially if the problem is caused by a lack of mainboard memory. Unlike graphics cards in desktop systems which have their own memory on board (although they also access the main system memory), laptop graphics have to rely solely on the main system memory. This is one of the reasons why laptop performance is lower than desktop systems. |

What I am after is the model number of the laptop. This should be on a label affixed on the underside. If you have the manual, the information should also be in there. |

In addition, 'Equium' is part of the desktop range and not a laptop. Have a look here to see if you can identify it: Laptop & Notebook Computers | Toshiba |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: How to update Just call toshiba and see if they can help... Or look on the toshiba site and search for your laptop based on the pics, so we can help, we can't do much like this. Download this as well: http://www.vistax64.com/software-too...info-tool.html It will give us (and I assume yourself as well) more information about your system specifications. Amplid |

| Vista Home Premium 32-bit & Vista Ultimate 64-bit both Service Pack 2 W7 Pro RTM 7600 32 & 64 | Re: How to update Hi Lara5, I have just had another look, and it would appear, given the 'P200' that you quoted, that your laptop is a 'Satellite' model - see here: Toshiba Support - Model Selector Select (from left to right) 'Portables', 'Satellite' and in the final column scroll down until you see P200. There are actually 2 models here, viz 'P200-ST2061' and 'P200-ST2071'. Since you stated 'mobile intel 965 express chipset' in your first post, this ties in with the first model, 'P200-ST2061'. However, we need to be absolutely sure so that we can locate the correct driver. The link given by Amplid should help. Last edited by Dwarf; 10-26-2008 at 05:22 PM.. |
