Crossfire in Dell 530?

so i have a ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT which is crossfire compatable, so what im wanting to know because im not really up on the connections graphics cards use, is is there a slot free in my pc (dell inspiron 530) (i havent added anthing inside so its as new so to speak) cheers to anyone that can advise

There are 4 slots in your computer, 2 PCI and 1 PCIE X1 and 1 PCIE x16...

Three things required to run the cards in Crossfire (or SLI for that matter),

1. Two cards obviously.

2. Two PCI-16x slots (whether they run at 16x with two cards is another story).

3. A motherboard compatible with Crossfire or SLI. Also you can't run SLI on a Crossfire motherboard and vice versa.

yeah last night after i posted this i found the online manual to my pc and it turns out i only have PCI-16x slot so guess im out of luck, just buy me a better graphics card, if anyone has any faverites or recomendations in the £50-£120 range that would be helpful

HD 4670 would be good choice. Probably close to 2x (or more), and doesn't require an external power connection like the comparable Nvidia 9600 series (and knowing Dell the power supply in your computer likely isn't up to a 9600).
