Dell.com support said you could play with high settings. I wanted to get a nice KFA2 card, but I didn't have a big enough PSU, and couldn't find them anywhere. (For my slim tower)
And besides, as of know, I have ****ty built in graphics. GeForce 6150SE nForce 430. When I play COD4 on that it is not the best but still controllable, so the 8400GS should be much much better.

Dell lied, big time. That review I posted ran COD4 at all medium settings with no AA or AF, and at 1280x1024 (pretty much standard resolution on a 19" CRT) and averaged 11 FPS. Here is another with COD4 that you can compare that card against just about everything available now,

Charts, benchmarks Gaming Graphics Charts Q3/2008, Call of Duty 4 v1.6

It will be a step up from your onboard 6150, just don't expect miracles. If nothing else your games will be more playable with the 8400 than the onboard. BTW, same card different manufacturer for half what Dell is charging,

The one i found on amazon is the same price as your link and supports OpenGL 2.1 rather than 2.0 but it has 256mb:( But the memory clock on the 8400GS is significantly faster than the one you posted and again, supports the new version of OpenGL

i've also seen videos of the 8400gs in action, looks pretty good.

Expect that card to be better than onboard...

BUT don't expect that card to run any game all that well. Its a very very low end card. 256mb of ddr2 video memory? Thats... terrible.

Hell you would be better off with a 7900GS or GT.....They at least have ddr3.

Well, I can't get anything better since my computer is a slim tower. I could get a VERY nice one http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicat...p?EdpNo=4042991&sku=G458-9606&srkey=G458-9606
But i need a 400W psu I have a crappy 250W and no 6-pin pci connector

I posted a couple links to some 7900GS's which will be better than an 8400GS. Both 7900GS and GTs take a power connector but most of them are molex power connectors and even if they are not they come with a molex to pcie connector.

Some graphics cards have the capability to swap out the current bracket to make it compatible with low-profile computer systems that require a lower bracket card.
