Installing Driver for 7800GS

Hi!

I have the following problem:

I tried to install the forceware drivers for my Geforce 7800GS GFX Card. But I failed! Afer a successfully End of the installer from Nvidia an after a Reboot, my Log-in screnn was not readable and all of the graphics were broken. After a while Vista switched back to the Standard VGA Driver and gave me a clear sight. And the Device Manager told me that Vista has stopped the device with error number 43. Has someone an Idea how to solve this problem?

I ran out of ideas, becaucse I tried every forceware up to 181.20 an got the same results. I also played around with the BIOS of my 4Dual-VSTA Asrock Mainboard, but that didn't help. Under Windows XP SP3 the GFX Card works very well, so don't think that it is a hardware failure.

Please help me ... I want to use Vista ..

Thanks in Advance,

lmao, linux is basic, at best, it will never have the flexibility of an actual operating system that is functional, but i suppose everyone is entitled to their own views, thusly you have not gained any help from us because of your biased views.

Hi this is my first post on the forums and I have the exact same problem as the original post. I have the exact same specs as the original post with the asrock motherboard. Which I think is maybe the problem because it has both an agp and pci-e slot. I am just trying to build a pc for my mum and dad out of old pc parts that I have so any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
