Standard VGA Graphic Adapter

I have a Dell Studio 1537 and i have completley reinstalled windows vista and after the screen was a bit stretched. I turned the resolution to the highest and made sure the colours option was at 32bit. This helped and shrunk the screen a bit but now it is still a little bit stretched and the image is not as sharp as it used to be. How can i get it back to its origional format? Please help.

Under drivers my "Standard VGA Graphic Adapter" has a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark through it. What can this mean?

Re: Standard VGA Graphic Adapter

It means it's not working properly.

Can you post some more specs about your system?

Re: Standard VGA Graphic Adapter

What would you like to know about it?
It is a brand new computer and there was something wrong with the internet because it connected to the landline but not the actual internet wirelessly. It keeps saying "Unidentified network". So a repair guy said that it was the Vista software. And he said to reinstall it.
So do i need to download this Standard VGA Graphic Adapter driver?

Chocoholic, by not providing system specs, you limit the forum members to guesswork which does you no good, and wastes time. We can not help you without at least knowing what video card you have.

Sorry

Re: Standard VGA Graphic Adapter

Your video card drivers - straight from Dell - Drivers and Downloads Download, Install, Enjoy.

You might want to bookmark this: Dell Technical Support Home Page / Dell Troubleshooting Search ...in case you have other driver issues.

Yes i have already downloaded all of the drivers but two under "video" don't work. They say that my computer doesnt have the minimal system requirements.

Re: Standard VGA Graphic Adapter

Hmmm...interesting???

1- What was the reason you reinstalled you OS?
2- What OS are you running now?
3- Why can't you use the "Dell PC-Restore Included" disk?
4- and does it have the video drivers on it?
5- If so, why not use them?

Questions Questions Questions = Answers, Solutions, Fixes

Thanks
