Hi kiddieboy,

i have a nvdia 6150se nforce 430. when ever i say that, what is nforce?
Its just a name

as u can see i have a pci express open.
(what is pci express 2.0, will it work with regular?)

pci 2.0 is just a newer standard
Yes it is backward compatible, Note new in old will be slower

if i upgrade, and buy a pci express, do i just plug it in, install driver, what about my intergreated graphic card?

Uninstall the old drivers.
Check the Bios to see if you can switch the onboard off
Insert the new card, start the PC and install drivers

I hope this helps

Pooch

PS. Make sure your PSU supports the new card. The new card may require a separate power supply as well as more power.

The integrated graphics usually gets disabled automatically when the computer detects a graphic card in the PCI-E slot.

Don't worry too much about newer cards in PCI-E 2.0. It won't be a noticable difference as a lot of cards don't even use all the bandwidth available of a PCI-E 1.1 slot, which means putting them in a PCI-E 2.0 slot won't make much of a difference.
