Blue Screen Error

i have a problem on my pc, it restarts from time to time, whether im playing or just by loading windows.. the screen goes black then restarts after a while.. the windows services error named the event as Blue Screen, and then when i checked for the solution to it, windows said that my NVIDIA driver is not working properly..
I already installed a bunch of driver for my graphic card, this includes the driver, included with the graphic card package as well as the latest drivers from Nvidia, but still it goes with the same problem, please help me guys.. cant take it any more..

Re: Blue Screen Error

Without knowing system specs I could say that it may in fact be a driver problem. I suggest you update the drivers. Go to NVIDIA.com and download the latest drivers. Once you have the latest drivers, don't go ahead and install them, as your previous drivers may be corrupt (hence why you get a hidden BSOD).

Uninstall the previous drivers, you can find them in the list of applications which is located somewhere in Control Panel. (don't know if you are using Vista, XP, etc) Then restart. Your computer may look like crap after restarting because of the uninstalling of the drivers, now install the new drivers and restart again. It should work fine.

Tell us how it goes and we'll be sure to help out any further if necessary.

Re: Blue Screen Error

right click my computer , select properties then advanced system settings on the left , under startup and recovery (under the advanced tab) select settings

under system failiure uncheck "automatically restart"

make sure "write an event to the system log" is checked

under write debugging infomation , select "small memory dump" or if its available select kernal memory dump.

uncheck the overwrite bit too

next time you have an error it will bluscreen , there will be a timer in the bottom left wait till it gets to 100% then manually reboot

goto c\windows\minidump and zip up the contents and attach them here , it would be best if you could attach three or four dumps that way we can see wheteher the problem is driver specific or hardware

assuming you have done all the usual checks psu properly connected to all hardware , gpu/ram seated correctly etc??
