the requirments is very low for combat arms

memory..3gb owned
video card..owned?? idk i got a nvdia geforce 6150 nforce 430(built in)

so my question, is what graphic card is good for it? i want to be able to get 100fps while recording..

do you think a nvdia 8600gt would do? or will some one recommend me a raedon card?
i am kinda on a budget, you can say, lets just no go over 70$.

i do make money, but im running kinda low, on my budget

Re: combat arms

Try looking at a 9600GT instead of the 8600GT. You'll see a better improvement performance wise. Not sure if it will reach 100fps though as I've never played Combat Arms, but I'd imagine it would be fine while recording as well.

Re: combat arms

uh yes, it would be overkill, i know a friend on a laptop, 9300m gs and he get 100fps in game, i dont want anything overkill...

also how much is a 9800gt?

Re: combat arms

A 9800 GT is around 100$-130$. pick one up from a local pc/electronics store or get one from an E-tailer like TigerDirect or Newegg.

Re: combat arms

of course. my old 8400 GS 512mb ran that game at 55-60 fps easily. its just when i got my first games for windows game is when i realized i had a junk card XD. for what your trying to play, the 8600 gts is perfect. but going to more intense and graphical games will need an upgrade.

Re: combat arms

yup an 8400 GS. of course that 8600 gts has 32 more stream processors which is a good thing. just try playing gears of war for windows with an 8400. lol that gets you about 25 fps at 800 by 600 with everything on medium/low. horrible and thats with dx9.

Re: combat arms

It wouldn't suprise me if it was the game itself though. I used to play it a few months ago, and didn't play for long, there were to many glitches and bad coding -> which makes me think that's the reason I lagged with my system. Though it may have gotten better between that time and now.

I would say something like a 9400GT though, performance wize it's kind of close to 8600GT and it's not as outdated as the 8*** series.
