New video card

Hello, i am thinking of getting a new video card soon, and wanted to know if the card i picked is better than my current one.

The card i want to get is the EVGA GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 Video Card.

My current card is the
NVIDIA GeForce 8200.

Is the card i want to buy any better than the one i currently have? I don't know to much about video cards but I think it is better. If it is better, will this card run Race Driver : Grid, and COD5?

Thanks

Re: New video card

GeForce 8200 equals onboard video, and yes the GTX 260 will blow it out of the water. Big question is, is your power supply up to running that card?

Re: New video card

I just checked my power supply and it is only 130 watts. So it is a pretty small one lol.

The minimum power requirement for the GTX 260 is 500 watts. So i'd settle at about 550-600 watts depending on your specs. Also you might want to look at what kind of processor you have because you don't want a bottleneck situation.

Re: New video card

i'd try to find a thermal take, coolermaster, or corsair power supply and as stated get at least a 600 watt one

Re: New video card

well..... a GTX260 will run on far less than 500w.

my sig rig with the highly OCed 260 idles @ 155w & fully loaded (a few hours GTA4) barely breaks 300w, you will need a good Amperage on the 12v though.

the recommended specs are highly bloated, but dont get me wrong its better to have more juice than you actually need.

i'd reccomend one of these.....Corsair HX520
